About Lame Cazuelas and its experiences
Lame Cazuelas designs and operates cultural and gastronomic experiences in Xochimilco, Mexico City, conceived as intimate, carefully curated encounters deeply connected to the local environment. Each experience is crafted to provide an authentic immersion into the chinampa system, traditional Mexican cuisine, and everyday life in the area, incorporating elements such as trajinera boat rides, visits to chinampas, market explorations, and hands-on cooking sessions. Due to their nature, these experiences require advance planning, coordination with local collaborators, and the preparation of fresh ingredients, which defines the operational and commercial conditions outlined below.
Bookings and payment conditions
All experiences require prior reservation. A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of full payment, which must be completed no later than seven days prior to the scheduled service. If payment is not received within this timeframe, Lame Cazuelas reserves the right to release the reservation without prior notice. For last-minute requests, confirmation is strictly subject to operational availability. In such cases, payment must be made immediately to secure the experience, acknowledging that feasibility will depend on the type of experience and the logistics involved.
Cancellations and modifications
Given the personalized nature of each experience and the advance preparation required, cancellations must be submitted in writing and will be subject to the following conditions: cancellations made more than seventy-two hours prior to the experience are eligible for a full refund; cancellations made between seventy-two and forty-eight hours prior will incur a twenty-five percent charge; between forty-eight and twenty-four hours, a fifty percent charge will apply; and cancellations made less than twenty-four hours in advance, as well as no-shows, will be charged in full. Requests to modify the date or format of an अनुभव will be handled with the greatest possible flexibility but remain subject to availability. Modifications requested within seventy-two hours prior to the experience cannot be guaranteed and, if not feasible, will be treated as cancellations.
Punctuality and experience flow
Punctuality is essential to preserve the quality, rhythm, and integrity of the experience. Guests are expected to arrive at the agreed time. Delays may impact the development of the experience, including adjustments to its duration or content. In cases of significant delay, the booking may be considered a no-show, without entitlement to a refund, as operations depend on coordinated timing with multiple participants and locations.
Participation, health, and safety
Lame Cazuelas experiences take place in dynamic environments that include traditional boats, active markets, and kitchen spaces. By participating, guests acknowledge that they are in suitable physical condition to take part and agree to inform in advance of any allergies, dietary restrictions, or relevant health conditions. Guests also agree to follow all guidance provided by the hosting team, whose primary objective is to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. Lame Cazuelas cannot be held responsible for situations arising from omitted information or failure to follow provided instructions.
Participation of minors
Minors are welcome to participate provided they are accompanied at all times by a responsible adult, who assumes full responsibility for their safety and conduct throughout the experience. Due to the nature of certain activities, particularly those involving kitchen tools or movement through active environments, close supervision is strongly recommended. For experiences involving active cooking participation, a recommended minimum age of twelve years applies; however, younger participants may be accepted on a case-by-case basis depending on the experience format and under direct adult supervision. Lame Cazuelas reserves the right to adapt or limit participation when necessary to ensure safety and preserve the quality of the experience.
Food and allergies
Experiences may include food prepared with traditional and fresh ingredients. While reasonable precautions are taken, the complete absence of allergens cannot be guaranteed. It is the guest’s responsibility to communicate any dietary restrictions in advance.
Image use
During the experiences, Lame Cazuelas may capture photographic or audiovisual material intended for promotional and communication purposes. If a guest prefers not to appear in such material, they must notify this in writing prior to the experience.
